update [Dec. 17th, 2005|08:02 pm]
Here's my much anticipated update

Well, I just got back from Yuya Arizona. I was technically not in Yuma to be specific, but actually P111 also known as tent city. Change number 4,223,093,129,209.3 of my career. I didnt stay in barracks like I thought I would for the duration of the excercise, therefore I did not bring any 782 gear, or combat gear as you'd call it. So I spent 3 weeks in 30 degree weather with just my cammies and sweat shirt. We worked 14 hour days and I showered twice. It was awesome. i felt like a real marine. So I got back and have been getting my stuff squarred away. I got a x-mas package from my parental units full of books to read. Rock on. I am leaving on friday to go to Phoenix to spend x-mas with my uncle and his family. Guess what. I got promoted. I am now a Lance Corporal. Thats cool huh. Well I am going to be going. hello to everyone and merry christmas wherever you are and think of the marines and everyone in Iraq for xmas.

hmm [Nov. 26th, 2005|05:11 pm]
So I emailed a former Drill Instructor of mine. His name is Sgt. Rogers. He motivated me the most and never let me quit and always pushed me. I credit him majorly for my success so far in the Corps. I thanked him for what he did for me and asked him a few questions about the Drill Feild. I look forward to hearing back from him.

In other items,
I hope eveyone had a good Thanksgiving filled with family and fun. Mine was fine. I didn't do anything, by choice. I had people invite me over but I wanted to enjoy it myself. Good news is that my uncle is flying me out to arizona for christmas. I look forward to that.
I am going to go get a haircut now, though. Take it easy everyone

btw- The Lance Corporal board is next month. I should be picking up Lcpl January 1st if I win the board, which I chould. semper fidelis, bitches!

So how is everyone? nice to be home, isn't it dear friend? I am glad that you are home and enjoying it- I should be home sometime next year. I will let everyone know when I will take some leave and invest some money in coming home. I am on duty right now. I have been for 12 hours- 12 hours more to go then a day of work. Not too much has happened on post; actually it has been fairly boring. I have answered about 8 phone calls and shredded about 500 papers for my swuadron Sgt. Major. I wish I could be at the gym right now because I am all motivated for a good run, but alas I cannot. HOpefully after work tomorrow I wont be too tired to do so. Lets see. The marine corps ball is on friday for me. I am the youngest marine in my squadron so I have to eat cake with the oldest marine- its a ball tradition. On wednesday we have a moto run as a aquadron. that will be fun, for me at least. Hopefully I will get to carry the guideon for a while. hmmm. thats about all thats going on with me. I miss everyone and hope to talk to you guys soon. Keep me updated on how things are going. well, take it easy everyone

ok, so I am tired. I went to work at 0500 yesterday and got off at about 1725. This morning I went in at 0400 and got off at 1730. I am tired. Ordnance is kinda cool sometimes, but it gets old fast. Oh well. I cant complain. I like being a marine.

Yes. I rule. I have stated it before, and yes, even newspaper articles in The Daily Pedigo Reader have stated it, but I now know it for sure. Next month I will be on the Meritorious Lance Corporal board and am almost guarenteed to get it. It's about time. Anyway, email me with questions and I will fill you in as to whats going on with my life.

"Drill Instructors, you have them!" (Chaos ensues)

P.S. I will try to take some pictures of our aircraft here in a few days and try to post them. amen

I got my flightline drivers lisence so I can drive stuff my the aircraft now. Soon I will get all my certs. for wierd vehicles and be more productive. i am going to see if Cpl. Hutchings will get me on the Lcpl's board next month. I rule. The PFT is coming up. I am going to get a near perfect. Man, I am sexy. ( not really)

p.p.s. Email me. I like that

Been a while [Oct. 1st, 2005|02:54 pm]
Hello friends. Things are busy here. I finally have clearance to work oon the Flight line next week, so I'll be doing my job. Next week is going to be busy. The pilots are practicing with live ordnance, so that means we will be working even harder than we already do. Thats cool though. The days are really really long, but go by very quickly just because of the amount of work being done. Im not bragging or complaining, but an average day is 11 hours long. A typical flight schedual will have about 12 aircraft going out and coming back in throughout the day. Everytime one goes out, we have to be there to arm it (make the weapons "hot"), and troubleshoot on the line. When one comes in to refuel we have to be there to "hot brake" it- see if the brakes are too hot. If they are we have to safe the jet and make them wait for the brakes to cool off. When the jets come in for good, we have to safe the weapons and download them. All the while thorughout the day we are taking down pylons, installing new ones, installing different launchers and racks, droppoing the gun and maintaining it, and shuffling good ordnance/equipment to the different levels to make sure we always have 100% operational equipment. Anyway, I have some news. Nobody is allowed to worry because I'm not worried about it and its in over a year, but I am going to Iraq. We will be going in march '07, and will be there for 7 months. I'm not worried about it. We will be puttin warheads on foreheads and kickin ass. Ask me questions and I'll answer the ones I know and make up crap about the ones I dont. peace
